“The orchestra is superb!
The cellos were so good they sounded like one instrument.”

“I just want to thank you for bringing really fine music-making to our area. That concert was fantastic. I came to hear my friend Mathilde play the Mozart, and that was fabulous. But there was so much more. Personally, it was wonderful to hear George Walker’s wonderful Lyric for Strings. He wrote his Piano Sonata No. 4 for me — I’ve always loved his music. And the Tchaikovsky – wow! I loved the attentive, professional music-making. A conductor who gave just the right amount of signals, obviously knew what he is doing, made his players at ease so they could play their best. It was pure enjoyment.
It brings this whole area up a notch knowing that we have such a fine orchestra!”

“Tonight’s concert was highly entertaining. The playing of the orchestra and soloist was of the highest caliber… We’re lucky to have such a fine ensemble in Portsmouth.”
– Fred Calcinari
